Euro Latin Performance Projekt - Eine andere Sicht der Stadt

Performancekünstler aus neun verschiedenen Ländern Europas und Lateinamerikas treffen sich vier Wochen in der Schweiz und Deutschland. In dieser Zeit leben, reisen, essen und arbeiten sie in dieser Gruppe zusammen. Die Arbeitsergebnisse dieses intensiven Zusammentreffens werden zum Abschluss der Workshopphase vom 24. – 27. November im Freien Museum Berlin gezeigt.
Der Kurator dieses aussergewöhnlichen Projekts, Harm Lux, hat die teilnehmenden Künstler auf Grund ihrer individuellen Arbeiten, die sich mit Migration und Restriktionen beschäftigen und deren Anliegen es ist auf gesellschaftliche Missstände aufmerksam zu machen, ausgewählt.
Die Performer werden bereits fünf Tage vor der Veranstaltung in Berlin eintreffen und diese Zeit nutzen, um die Stadt zu erforschen und beobachten. Ihre emotionalen und künstlerischen Eindrücke der Stadt, werden in die Performances eingearbeitet. Die individuellen Arbeiten der KünstlerInnen wachsen im Laufe des Projekts, wie viele kleine Identitätsinseln, zu einem kreativen, transnationalen Festland zusammen.

Performanceartists of nine different countries in Europe and Latinamerica are meeting for four weeks in Switzerland and Germany. In this time they will be, living, traveling, eating and working in this group together. The project results of these intensive meetings will be shown at the conclusion of the workshop period, commencing on the 24^th and going on to the 27^th of November in the Freies Museum Berlin.The curator of this extraordinary project Harm Lux, has chosen the participating artists on grounds of their individual work which concerns itself with migration and restriction and whose issue it is to point out social deprivation and societal predicaments.The performer will arrive in Berlin five days before the event and will use the time to discover and observe Berlin. Their emotional and artistic observations of the city will be weaved into the performance.The individual works of the artists will grow during the project, similar to small islands with their own identity joining together as one mainland.
